Spaghetti Gala

Security Detail....

It was a fun and new volunteer opportunity to be the Perimeter Security Detail for the Spaghetti Gala fundraiser sponsored by Jennifer Lauren Consulting to raise money for the Larimer County Foodbank.  The event was SOLD OUT and raised just about $5,000 for the Food Bank.  This was a new event that included many volunteers, live music and food along with a live auction. I ensured drinks did not leave the approved space!

The weather was beautiful - 80's during the day and 50's in the evening.  The theme for the Spaghetti Gala was "White Shirt" and hundreds from the community showed up to show their support for the event.  Held under the Tivoli lights in Old Town Square - right in front of the stage - 20 tables and 200 chairs were surrounded by plenty of dancing and walking space.  Local restaurants volunteered their time and menu's and the audience had a chance at the end of the evening to vote on their favorite restaurant dish... Fantastic event with music provided by Soul Revival.

There were multiple ways the event raised money for the Larimer County Food Bank:

  • Beer & Wine Sales
  • Live Auction
  • Handraiser
  • Napkin Sales
  • Spot Donations (with people checking their white shirts after the event and paying per spot on their shirts. :-)
  • Voting for chefs
